Unhappy me, veeeery unhappy.

Now I’m home and settled I sadly can’t find any work. I’ve been applying for ages and have still heard nothing! I feel like I’m in Spirited Away (great film) yelling “Please I just want to work!”

Other than that I’ve got into Battlestar Galactica like mad, I love that series so far. I’m the same mbti as Gaius (yaaaay) and me and my sister both can’t decide on a favourite character.

Before that though, I went with some friends to the Rocky Horror Show last night. It was crazy when we got there (all in costume of course) and I saw more than I wanted to of both men and women! The show was good (I think, it was hard to tell because of the audience yelling) and the dancing was fun, so worth the money!

On the way out it was pretty scary though. Hordes of under dressed folk struggling to escape the smoky/hot room (I got stuck to a very sweaty person!)

Outside I had to change out of my costume (long dress and gloves) behind a van, luckily I change well under clothing! My sister struggled a bit more (it’s harder to change out of a skirt and corset than a dress).

I return! Exams are over and I’ve had a week to steam and let my brain start working again (it stopped after exams so I’ve had a week of gaming and rest)

So, I’ve made some new food things I’ll share.

1) Chicken and couscous thing – marinate really thin chicken slices in soy sauce, garlic, chilli and oregano (put it in a bowl in the fridge for an hour or so). Add the right amount of water to the couscous but in the water add a stock cube and then heat up a little oil in a frying pan. Throw the chicken in the pan and cook it for about 5 mins (or until ready) then remove and put on a plate and add tinned broad beans to the pan until they’re warm then add the chicken again. Plate up!

2) Spicy soupy prawn thing – cut up a bunch of veg, put the prawns in a pan and brown them a bit. Remove and throw in the veggies and water and then add the prawns again with chilli, paprika and any herbs you want. Let it cook for 30ish mins and it’s done! (have some bread too)

Not only that but when we called up to get it sorted one guy talked us through a bunch of stuff only to completely stop the service!

Avoid avoid avoid avoid!

I know very little on buddism, but if anyone has any ideas about it let me know!

Laptops, grrr. When downloading a new file make sure that you don’t run a Mcafee scan whilst doing so (if it gives you the option then don’t do it). It takes far longer and sometimes doesn’t even let it finish (this is what happened when I was downloading adobe flash player for my sister’s laptop). Also make sure the internet connection is working properly.

Lastly – wireless routers are actually good. If you have a slow, old router, then get a new one with wireless capabilities!
